"Funky Is The Way We Roll" is the programmatic title of the Horny Funk Brothers' new album. The funk band around singer Hubert Tubbs (former lead singer of the iconic "Tower Of Power") has used the corona-related performance break to compose, arrange and finally record 12 brand new songs in the studios of the individual band members. The spectrum of musical styles on this album is remarkably diverse, with bluesy and funky songs as well as a reggae and a ballad in the style of Tower Of Power. Nevertheless, the album never loses its common thread and the now unmistakable style of the "Brothers". Hubert Tubbs emotionally lends his energetic voice to the original compositions, which also feature the band's unmistakable brass riffs. A delight for all fans of soul & funk music!
