The basilica of San Domenico Maggiore, commissioned in 1283 by Charles II of Anjou, was erected by incorporating the previous Benedictine church of San Michele Arcangelo in Morfisa. Having gone through significant transformations over the centuries, the basilica, with the adjoining convent complex, constitutes one of the most important treasures of the ancient centre of Naples. The walls of the basilica and convent preserve the memory of illustrious personalities: from philosophers such as St Thomas Aquinas, Giordano Bruno, Tommaso Campanella, to artists such as Tino di Camaino, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio, Andrea Vaccaro, Jusepe de Ribera, Luca Giordano, Francesco Solimena, Cosimo Fanzago and many others.

The first violin Elvin Dhimitri, strings and harpsichord of “Opera e Lirica” will offer the audience a spectacular concert of “The Four Seasons by Vivaldi in Naples”, one of the masterpieces of the Italian Baroque.
