He is the one and only! Pop-rock legend Chesney Hawkes makes an impressive return with his long-player "Living Arrows," released in April 2025! The new album, characterized by a coherent pop-rock sound and sincere songwriting, shows him at his most personal. But first things first…
Chesney was born in Windsor, England, and rose to fame at the age of 19 with the lead role in the film "Buddy's Song." His debut single, "One and Only," which emerged from this film, is considered one of the biggest hits of the 90s and has become a timeless classic. The overwhelming success of the song made Chesney one of the most famous pop stars in the world practically overnight. And to this day, the song is regularly featured on soundtracks and in advertising campaigns and is played repeatedly on radio stations around the world.
After a few more singles and albums, things became a little quieter musically for the Brit. But with the release of the eagerly awaited comeback album "Living Arrows," that's now over. The new material was created in collaboration with producer and co-writer Jake Gosling, who also collaborates with superstars such as Ed Sheeran, One Direction, and Shawn Mendes. Chesney Hawkes' musical comeback was accompanied or introduced by a few select guest appearances at events and on TV shows. This attention even catapulted "One And Only" back into the top 10 of the iTunes charts in the UK in spring 2024, definitively making the musician a "national treasure" in his home country.
New successes as well as old hits can now be expected on his upcoming tour. And this tour will take the likeable musician with incredible live talent back to Vienna in December, where he already dazzled at the Stadthalle earlier this year as the support act for fellow countryman James Blunt.
