"Mozartini presents The Magic Flute" is a child-friendly production by Austria’s children’s opera specialists Oper@Tee. In this unique performance, young audiences are actively involved in the world of Mozart’s "Magic Flute," spontaneously taking on small roles and helping shape the action. Those who prefer just to watch will, of course, have just as much fun. Recommended for ages 4 to 12. This form of children’s theatre is particularly valuable, as active participation fosters understanding and enthusiasm for music and theatre. Children experience the opera not only as spectators but as part of the story, which strengthens their self-confidence and stimulates their creativity. Through participation, they learn musical and acting skills in a playful way. The opera also conveys important values such as friendship, courage, and overcoming obstacles.
Seats are assigned on site. Every young guest is guaranteed an unobstructed view. Before the performance, there is an entertaining introduction to the work for children.

The bright and friendly CRYPT is comfortably heated all year round.

Plot:
Prince Tamino gets lost in the forest and is saved by children from a poisonous snake. He falls hopelessly in love with the image of Princess Pamina. Her mother, the Queen of the Night, asks him to rescue her daughter from the captivity of the sorcerer Sarastro. The funny bird-catcher Papageno is to accompany him. As a help, Tamino receives a magic flute from her and Papageno a silver glockenspiel. But both get lost in the forest.
Papageno encounters Monostatos, Pamina’s guardian, who is pacified by Papageno’s glockenspiel. At the same time, Tamino tries out the flute. Calmed by the music, the animals of the forest show him the way to Sarastro’s castle.
There, everyone learns why Sarastro had kidnapped Pamina. She is to become Tamino’s wife and his successor once he passes the difficult trials. Skillfully, Tamino overcomes great dangers and passes through fire and water.
Happy not to have to face such trials himself, Papageno has one big wish: a female companion, one like him, a Papagena! He plays his glockenspiel, and an ugly old woman appears. She threatens Papageno with prison if he does not marry her. He then promises eternal loyalty, as he has nothing to lose. The old woman then transforms into a beautiful young woman, and Papageno recognizes his long-awaited Papagena.
