The newly composed and popular teatro adventure musical based on Rudyard Kipling’s world-famous story will come to Vienna for the first time in 2026.
Mowgli, raised by wolves, faces his greatest challenge: the tiger Shere Khan returns, humans threaten the jungle – and then the wild monkey troupe kidnaps the brave boy. Luckily, his friends Baloo and Bagheera stand by his side.

With new, instantly catchy music by David Schieber and Lena Wiesinger and a script by Norbert Holoubek, teatro sends a strong message about protecting nature – wrapped in a high-quality, funny, and moving musical for the whole family.

For 27 years, teatro has delighted audiences with lovingly staged family classics and is regarded as an important talent forge. Many popular performers – including Moritz Mausser, Nicolas Vinzenz, and Lili Beetz – began their careers at teatro.
