Markus Stockhausen is internationally renowned as a musical border crosser with his unique trumpet tone. In 2021, he received the German Jazz Award for best brass player. In 2018, the group received the Echo Jazz Award for the album “Far into the Stars”. They present their brand new double album CELEBRATION, which they recorded together with Nguyên Lê and other soloists. Nguyên Lê is a master of the electric guitar and has long been a star of the international jazz scene. Markus and Nguyên met back in the 90s and have played together ever since.
The Markus Stockhausen Group has been playing in this formation since 2020. PORGY and BESS Jazzclub
