Louis Philippson
He is only 21 years old—pianist, creator, and presenter—but above all the new piano star of Generation Z. With his vlogs, humorous content, and captivating piano interpretations, Louis Philippson has already won 750,000 followers on social media.
The musical talent of this newcomer, who possesses absolute pitch, was discovered on YouTube at the age of seven by his later piano professor. He became a young student at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf and participated in numerous national and international piano competitions. Alongside his music career, he studies international business and music and works as a presenter for Toggo and ZDF.
His debut album Exposition was released in February by Sony Classical. It combines his original compositions with new, colorful arrangements of well-known works such as Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, elegiac piano versions of melodies from Mahler’s Symphony of a Thousand, as well as current popular pieces. Following his sold-out Berlin debut in May, he will present a selection of his repertoire at the Kammermusiksaal Berlin together with an ensemble.
