José Mercé
Sings Manuel Alejandro

José Mercé returns to our flamenco series De Cajón! with a performance born from the deep admiration that the singer from Jerez feels for one of his most distinguished fellow countrymen, Manuel Alejandro, author of some of the most emblematic songs in the repertoire of Spanish popular music. Who has not sung, for example, Se nos rompió el amor?

He does so by bringing those melodies into different flamenco styles, accompanied by his usual ensemble with two flamenco guitars, three palmeros and flamenco percussion, as well as a piano and a double bass that add a new sound to songs that are part of the collective memory. An evening of emotion at the Palau de la Música Catalana, without a doubt.
