40 Years of Rock Me Amadeus - FALCO In Concert - Live on Screen

Anniversary tour for the 40th anniversary of the hit "Rock Me Amadeus" and "Coming Home" in the Vienna Gasometer with the original band, special guests and FALCO live on screen!!

40 years of "Rock Me Amadeus" - the undisputed number 1.
With "Rock Me Amadeus" FALCO stormed the US Billboard charts and the British Top 40 in March 1986 and made music history. To date it was the first and only German-language song to reach these top positions. Now - 40 years later - this event is being duly celebrated with a very special concert tour. With original recordings from FALCO's career, Falco's original band, together with local star soloists, will bring the original sound to stages in Austria and Germany in autumn 2025. Tickets are available from February 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. for all German dates at eventim.de, and for all Austrian dates at oeticket.com.

Tour announcement for Falco's birthday at Vienna's favorite U4 club.
As every year, around Falco's birthday (February 19), the crème de la crème of the Austrian music scene will meet at Vienna's cult club U4 for the so-called "Goldfisch" concerts to review the musical work of the exceptional musician. A tribute to the country's first pop star and a perfect moment to ring in the anniversary year and announce this unique live production, bringing the sound and style from his former favorite, the U4, to the federal states and celebrating it appropriately.

Original band and star duets with FALCO and the local music scene.
While FALCO appears to be back on stage on a large LED wall integrated into the stage set, bandleader Thomas Rabitsch has brought together a hand-picked selection of guests to perform his unforgettable hits in duets with FALCO. Among them are none other than Ana Milva Gomes, Drew Sarich, Edita Malovcic, Georgij Makazaria, Johannes Krisch, Roman Gregory, Skero, and Tini Kainrath. The original band includes bandleader and keyboardist Thomas Rabitsch, Bernhard Rabitsch (trumpet and percussion), Robert Pistracher (bass), Peter Paul Skrepek (guitar), Peter Vieweger (guitar), and special guest Florian Holoubek (drums).

No impersonators, no karaoke, no playback.
Thomas Rabitsch: "The concept is working! The power of the live artists' unique interpretations together with FALCO in virtual duets will thrill the audience and create a perfect illusion. It's no exaggeration to say that FALCO remains an absolute fixture in German-language pop history."
FALCO's unprecedented career and turbulent life have been documented in numerous books, staged, and filmed. To mark the 40th anniversary of the song that catapulted him to the top of the international charts, audiences can look forward to a very special production with authentic, high-quality Austrian sound and sing along to the global hit: "He was a superstar, he was so popular, he was so exalted, because he had flair, he was a virtuoso, a rock idol, and everyone shouted: come on Rock Me Amadeus!"

Tour concludes at the Vienna Gasometer on November 28, 2025.
The Raiffeisen Hall in the Gasometer, operated by Planet Music & Media, is Vienna's number one hotspot for live concerts and clubbing. But even before this use, almost 40 years ago, when the Gasometer was decommissioned, the warehouses initially served as a film set. They were not only available for filming the James Bond film "The Living Daylights," but also for Austria's first pop star: in the music video for "Coming Home (Jeanny Part 2, One Year After)" (1986). FALCO used both the interiors of these gigantic cylinders and shots of the exterior. The 40th anniversary tour of "Rock me Amadeus" will therefore come to a fitting conclusion in Vienna on November 28, 2025.
