Can music express what words cannot?

After his highly acclaimed Berlin debut in early 2024, Bruce Liu returns to the Chamber Music Hall. The young pianist with "the fingers of a magician" (Le Monde) impresses his audience equally with his cultivated and seemingly effortless piano playing as well as his flawless technique. Outstanding is his enthusiasm for every note and phrase, which elevates him to the ranks of artists to watch. His unbridled joy in playing is evident in expressive facial gestures and a seamless harmony with the instrument.

In 2021, Liu won the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, joining an illustrious line of laureates. The Paris-born Canadian of Chinese heritage combines a cosmopolitan biography with youthful charm. In the Chamber Music Hall, he will devote himself to a demanding program of virtuosic piano compositions, which he will present with his usual playful ease and mastery.
