Baroque and Hip Hop reimagines Jean-Philippe Rameau’s Les Indes Galantes through a vibrant dialogue between 18th-century elegance and contemporary urban culture. This innovative program presents selected excerpts from Rameau’s opéra-ballet, first performed in 1735, blending refined Baroque orchestration with the rhythmic energy and expressive movement of hip hop. Les Indes Galantes is celebrated for its colorful dances, exotic themes, and rich harmonic language. By bringing together historical performance style and modern choreography, the production reveals the timeless vitality of Rameau’s music. The contrast between ornate Baroque textures and the raw dynamism of hip hop creates a striking artistic experience, highlighting how music from different centuries can connect, inspire, and resonate with today’s audiences.

Sainte Chapelle Paris Tickets

he Sainte-Chapelle (Holy Chapel) is a royal medieval Gothic chapel, located near the Palais de la Cité, on the Île de la Cité in the heart of Paris, France.

Begun some time after 1239 and consecrated on 26 April 1248,[1] the Sainte-Chapelle is considered among the highest achievements of the Rayonnant period of Gothic architecture. Its erection was commissioned by King Louis IX of France to house his collection of Passion Relics, including Christ's Crown of Thorns - one of the most important relics in medieval Christendom.

Along with the Conciergerie, the Sainte-Chapelle is one of the earliest surviving buildings of the Capetian royal palace on the Île de la Cité. Although damaged during the French revolution, and restored in the 19th century, it retains one of the most extensive in-situ collections of 13th-century stained glass anywhere in the world.
