A musical journey to the heart of Andalusia, where flamenco piano blends with jazz and world music in a vibrant and contemporary performance. This concert is more than a show, it is a living experience in which the pianist sings, uses the body of the piano as a percussion instrument and incorporates beatboxing to expand the boundaries of the instrument. His stage charisma creates a unique connection with the audience, inviting them to participate by singing or clapping along. Inspired by the flamenco tradition and the free spirit of jazz, his music moves between ancient and modern, between intimacy and celebration.
The Sevillian Andrés Barrios represents the present of Spanish piano, combining an intense, award-winning classical education with the technique, knowledge and experience of flamenco and jazz. He has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Filón award at the Festival del Cante de las Minas. Alongside his extraordinary interpretative skills, he possesses a generous creative talent and has released several solo albums of original compositions, which he has toured worldwide. His live performances are a true spectacle of energy, complicity and a unique connection with the audience.
Andrés Barrios is one of the most established pianists and composers on the contemporary music scene. Despite his young age, he has already performed in numerous countries, from India to Brazil, from the United States to the United Arab Emirates, from Colombia to Slovenia. He has played in prestigious venues such as Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional de Música and Frankfurt’s Alte Oper. His latest albums, KM.0 and De Barrios a Lorca, offer an energetic and innovative reinterpretation of music that is deeply contemporary while remaining rooted in the traditions of his homeland.
